ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT Men's Basketball team was recognized with a 2024-25 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award while five individuals were named to the NABC Honors Court, Thursday.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, while individual players who finished the year with a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA in at least their junior year of eligibility garnered Honors Court status.
Individual honorees included graduate students Matt Caggiano (individualized studies), Mark Osime (economics) and Ronnie Toole (marketing), along with senior guard Brock Bowen (mechanical engineering) and junior Jackson Otis (mechanical engineering technology).
Over 2,400 players across the NCAA Division I, II, III and junior college ranks earned spots on the NABC Honors Court while nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards.
