Women’s Soccer shuts out Bard, 3-0
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — A trio of goal scorers guided the RIT women's soccer team in a 3-0 win at Bard, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior defender Neena Damodaran sent a free kick from 25 yards out on the left side to the top center of the goal to put the visitors on the board in the 14th minute.
- In the 31st minute, Sophomore midfielder Valeria Luzio doubled the lead with a one-touch shot just inside the left post from a feed by junior forward Emma Pedro.
- Senior midfielder Sam Tran added the third goal of the game in the 67th minute off a pass from sophomore defender Daniella Malanga.
GAME NOTES
- Damodaran's goal is the first of her collegiate career.
- Luzio led RIT with five shots, including three shots on goal.
- Senior Emily Sanchez and sophomore Avery Donnelly combined to earn the shutout against the Raptors.
- The Tigers' record improves to 7-3-6 overall and 4-3-1 in the Liberty League.

RIT wraps up the regular season with a home game against Skidmore this coming Saturday (Nov. 1) at 2 p.m.
