PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field teams were led by the 4x400m Relay team as the Tigers competed at Nazareth's D3 Elite Meet and Cornell's Kane Invitational, Saturday.
Jack DeFeo, John Elliot, Noah Flanders, Max Stein won the 4x400m Relay with a regional qualifying time of 3:19.60.
Elliot, a first-year, set a program record in the 800m with a winning time of 1:54.95, eclipsing the previous best time of 1:55.33 that was set by Matt Giannino in 2013.
DeFeo, a sophomore, also placed second in the 400m (49.38) with Stein, a senior, taking third (49.68). both were regional qualifying times.
In the Distance Medley Relay, Evan Owens, Trevor Krukin, Patrick Kenyon, and Brandon Blandino teamed up to finish third with a season-best and regional qualifying time of 10:35.56.
Sophomore hurdler Jacen Mitchel was second in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.52 seconds.
