David named AHA Goaltender of the Week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT first-year Ethan David was named the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Goaltender of the Week, Monday.

David made 22 saves to backstop a 3-0 win over visiting AIC for his first career shutout on Friday.

In Saturday's rematch, he stopped 24 shots as the teams skated to a 3-3 tie, before making two saves as the Tigers earned the extra AHA point with a 2-1 penalty shootout win.

RIT closes the regular season hosting AHA-rival Mercyhurst this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 21-22). Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. both nights.
