ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior Aiden Hansen-Bukata was named the Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week, Monday.
- Hansen-Bukata scored the game-tying goal with 41.6 seconds left in regulation as RIT came back for a 2-1 overtime win versus visiting Bentley on Saturday.
- He also assisted what proved to be the game-winning goal and blocked a season-high five shots in Friday's 3-0 victory over the Falcons.
- Hansen-Bukata scored a point in his fourth-straight game since returning from a three-game injury absence, notching his second goal of the season along with five assists the last two weekends.
- He leads the Tigers and is tied for fifth in the conference with 18 assists this season.
RIT plays an Atlantic Hockey home-and-home series with Niagara this coming week, hitting the road for a 7:05 p.m. faceoff on Thursday (Feb. 1) before returning home on Saturday (Feb. 3) to host the Purple Eagles at 5:05 p.m.
