Women's Basketball defeats Bard, 82-50
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – First year forward Ben Kayser-Cochran led the RIT women's basketball team with a game-high 16 points to lead the Tigers past Bard, 82-50, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers used an 8-0 run in the first quarter to build a 19-8 lead with two minutes remaining. The run was capped off by a three-pointer from first year Caroline Henderson.
- After leading 39-28 at the half, RIT started the third quarter with a 11-2 burst to strengthen their lead to 12 points.
- In the fourth quarter, the Tigers continued to extend their lead, closing out the game shooting 44.4% from the field and outscoring the visiting Raptors 21-11 over the final 10 minutes.
GAME NOTES
- Kayser-Cochran has now scored in double digits four times this season and is averaging 9.9 points per game.
- Senior guard Kaitlyn Bockelman added 15 points in the win as sophomore Maddy Ramsgard scored 13 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
- Henderson also had 13 points to go along with eight rebounds.
