RIT Athletics Preview: May 13-19
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
A few Tigers competed at the Harrison Dillard Twilight this past weekend.
First-year Mia Gerber placed ninth in the javelin with a throw of 29.96m, first-year Autumn Bernava finished ninth in the hammer with a 44.51m throw and junior Justine Draper finished 10th in the 400. hurdles with an Atlantic Region Championships qualifying time of 1:07. First-year Amelia Geck earned 13th-place in the shot put (11.73m) and sophomore Abby Thomas finished 40th in the 1,500 (5:03.98).
RIT competes in the Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships, hosted by Cortland this week.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
A select number of Tigers competed at the Harrison Dillard Twilight this past weekend.
Senior Andrew Bernacki finished third in the javelin with a 49.02m throw, directly followed by first-year Keenan Gosselin in fourth (48.23m) and sophomore Ryan Senf placed 14th in the 400, clocking a time of 49.48. Senior Yohermry Kpodo finished 19th in the shot put with a distance of 13.20m and sophomore Evan Owens placed 47th in the 1,500 (4:04.49).
RIT competes in the Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships, hosted by Cortland this week.

MEN'S LACROSSE
The Tigers defeated Hope, 23-9 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday and beat Babson, 23-16 in the third round on Saturday.
In Friday's win, senior Kaden Brunson tallied four goals and five points, while on Saturday, graduate student Luke Pilcher scored five goals and six points.
The Tigers host Christopher Newport in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The winner advances to Sunday's semifinal against Bowdoin or Middlebury.
