ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Six members of the RIT men's swimming and diving team were named College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-Americans.
Graduate student Mike Atanasoff, junior Ryan Clancy, senior Gellert Kish, sophomore Eric Noga, graduate student Drew Scheib and senior Ben Sippel were first team selections.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
Atanasoff finished 12th overall in the 50 freestyle at the NCAA Championships to earn Second Team All-American honors. He swam a leg in the 200 Free Relay that finished eighth earning First Team All-American honors and swam a leg in the 200 medley relay that placed 14th to earn Second Team All-American accolades.
Clancy swam a leg in the 200 Free Relay that finished eighth at the NCAA Championships earning First Team All-American honors. He swam a leg in the 200 Medley Relay that finished 14th to earn Second Team All-American honors.
Kish placed sixth in the 3M diving competition at the NCAA Championships earning First Team All-American honors. He placed seventh in the 1M competition. The four-time Liberty League Championships Diver of the Meet won both competitions for the third time in his career in 2025 and was the Liberty League Diver of the Year.
Noga swam a leg in the 200 Free Relay at the NCAA Championships that finished eighth earning First Team All-American honors. He swam a leg in the 400 Medley Relat that finished 14th at NCAA's.
Scheib won seven events at the Liberty League Championships. The Liberty League Swimmer of the Year, Scheib qualified and competed in three individual and four relay events at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, earning First Team All-American in the 200 Free relay and Second Team All-American in the 100 Fly, 200 and 400 Medley relays. Scheib was named the Liberty League Championship Men's Swimmer of the Meet as well as being named Liberty League Swimmer of the Week four times.
Sippel finished 24th in the 100 Breaststroke at the NCAA Championships. He swam a leg in the 200 Medley Relay that placed 14th to earn Second Team All-American honors and swam a leg in the 400 Medley Relay that finished 14th.
