Williams earns First-Team All-American on final day of NCAA Division III Championships
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore diver Maddi Williams earned First-Team All-American honors with an eighth-place finish in the 3M diving event on the final day of the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, Saturday.
SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- In the women's 3M diving event, sophomore Maddi Williams earned First-Team All-American by placing eighth overall with a score of 430.20 points.
- Scheib set a personal best time in the 100 Free with a clocking of 44.78 seconds. His previous best was 44.79 seconds at last year's NCAA Championships.
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Ben Sippel finished 24th in the 100 Breast with a time of 55.07 seconds, three-hundredths of a second shy of his school record (55.04) set at the Liberty League Championships last month.
- Sippel, along with Ryan Clancy, Mike Atanasoff, and Drew Scheib placed 14th in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:29.16, earning Second Team All-America.
- Divers Gellert Kish and Luke Albanese placed seventh and ninth respectively in the 1M event. For Kish, the result is the second top eight finish after finishing sixth in the 3M.
THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- The 4x200 Free Relay team of Eric Noga, Ryan Clancy, Mike Atanasoff, and Drew Scheib placed eighth in the finals with a 1:21.05 clocking. The result earns RIT First-Team All-American honors. In the prelims, the team broke the previous program record time of 1:20.81, set at the Liberty League Championships last month.
- Scheib took 15th place in the prelims and finals of the 100 Fly, earning Second-Team All-American with a finals time of 48.38 seconds.
- Sophomore diver McKenna Porter led the trio of Tigers competing in the 1M event by placing 22nd with a score of 368.55 points.
WEDNESDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior diver Gellert Kish placed sixth in the 3M Diving event, scoring 492.65 points in the finals to earn First-Team All-American honors. Sophomore Luke Albanese finished 10th overall (485.55) to earn Second-Team All-American.
- In the 50 Free, senior Mike Atanasoff swam in the consolation finals, finishing 12th overall with a time of 20.10 to earn Second-Team All-American. The time is only seven-tenths of a second off Atanasoff's program record of 20.03 that was set earlier this season.
- The 400 Medley Relay team of Ben Sippel, Eric Noga, Drew Scheib, and Atanasoff placed 14th with a combined time of 3:16.86 in the consolation final.
