Eight from RIT Men's Lacrosse land USILA All-American accolades
ROCHESTER, NY -- Eight members from the RIT Men's Lacrosse team were named 2025 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-Americans announced Thursday, May 22.
Senior attackman Clifford Gaston was a first team selection and graduate student midfielder Seth Grottenthaler was a second team pick. Graduate student midfielder Ian Dinga, fifth-year defenseman Hunter FitzGibbons, fifth-year faceoff specialist Allyn French, sophomore long-stick midfielder Logan Fletcher, fifth-year defenseman Drew Leahy and senior attackman Nate Senez were each honorable mention selections.
Gaston led the team with 88 points on 70 goals and 18 assists. A 2024 USILA First Team All-American, Gaston is 17th in Division III averaging 3.50 goals per game. He tallied 14 points in four NCAA Tournament games, including six goals against St. John Fisher in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament. Gaston finished his career second in program history with 315 career points and 229 goals.
Grottenthaler recorded 38 points with 26 goals and 12 assists. A 2024 USILA Honorable Mention All-American, Grottenthaler tallied three goals and an assist in four NCAA Tournament games, including a goal and an assist versus Dickinson in last Sunday's NCAA Semifinal. Grottenthaler finished his career 33rd in program history with 144 career points and tied for 21st with 65 career assists.
Dinga finished third on the team with a career-high 57 points on 28 goals and 29 assists. A 2025 First Team All-Liberty League selection, Dinga recorded nine points on four goals and five assists in four NCAA Tournament games, including tying his career high with four assists versus St. John Fisher in the third round. Dinga is tied for 57th all-time with 112 career points and is 29th in program history with 54 career assists.
FitzGibbons finished second on the team with a career-best 20 caused turnovers and had 20 ground balls. A 2025 Second Team All-Liberty League selection, FitzGibbons had three caused turnovers and three ground balls against Cortland in last Saturday's NCAA Quarterfinal.
Fletcher led RIT with 30 caused turnovers and was fourth with 54 ground balls while tallying seven points on five goals and two assists. A 2025 Second Team All-Liberty League selection, Fletcher scored a career-high two goals and grabbed four ground balls against Cortland in the NCAA Quarterfinals and caused three turnovers against Dickinson in the semifinals.
French won 169-of-281 (60.1%) of his face-offs and led RIT with 75 ground balls. A 2024 USILA Honorable Mention All-American, French won a career-high 24 face offs and grabbed a season-best nine ground balls against St. John Fisher in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament.
Leahy finished third on the team with 19 caused turnovers and 61 ground balls, each were career highs. A 2025 Second Team All-Liberty League selection, Leahy scooped up a career-high seven ground balls against Cortland in last Saturday's NCAA Quarterfinal.
Senez was second on the team with 78 points and led the Tigers with 48 assists. A 2025 First Team All-Liberty League selection, Senez tallied nine points on three goals and six assists in four NCAA Tournament games, including a goal and two assists versus Cortland in last Saturday's NCAA Quarterfinal.
RIT finished with a 21-2 record, winning its 12th Liberty League Tournament title and advancing to the NCAA Semifinals for the fifth straight season.
