Three women's basketball players selected for CSC Academic All-District honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three student-athletes from the RIT women's basketball team were 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® selections, announced Tuesday.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Senior guards Kaitlyn Bockelman, Hannah Durand, and sophomore forward Faye Kaplinski helped the Tigers reach the Liberty League Tournament semifinals for the first time since the 2018-19 season.

Durand played in all 27 games last season, shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 35.4 from beyond the arc.
