Baseball falls to MSOE in RussMatt Central Florida Invitational

AUBURNDALE, F.L. – The RIT baseball team lost to MSOE, 15-1 in their fourth game of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational, Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After two scoreless innings from sophomore starting pitcher Liam Miller, MSOE took a 2-0 lead in the third off of an RBI double down the left field line
  • The Raiders scored four more runs in the fourth inning
  • An RBI single to left field from first-year left fielder Mikey Zacher, put the Tigers on the board in the fourth
  • MSOE went on to score six runs in the fifth, taking a 13-1 lead
  • The Raiders scored two more runs off of an RBI single in the sixth and a throwing error in the seventh

GAME NOTES

  • First-years Isaac Braegelman and Jack Joseph earned their first collegiate appearances
  • Junior shortstop Randy Dodig and sophomore Jarin Moses each had one stolen base
