Men's Basketball defeats St. John Fisher, 72-65
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Graduate student forward Kenny Wilburn scored a team-high 19 points to help RIT defeat St. John Fisher in the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilburn went 9 of 13 from the field for the RIT while also hauling in eight rebounds and blocking three shots.
- Senior guard Chase Dickens opened the game with a three-point shot to propel the Tigers to 10-run to start the game.
- St. John Fisher's Josh Lopez cut the RIT lead to one point with 4:26 remaining the the first half after making a pair of free-throws.
- After leading 37-30 at the break, RIT used an 8-2 run to start the second half to extend their lead to 11 points.
- The Tigers kept St. John Fisher at bay the rest of game as the Cardinals couldn't get closer than a four point deficit with 4:19 left in the game.
GAME NOTES
- RIT led from start to finish and knocked off the Cardinals for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
- Graduate student Matt Caggiano notched 11 assists in the win while adding eight points.
- Dickens finished with 16 points, three rebounds, and a pair of steals for the Tigers.
- Senior forward Josiah Turner had 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.

The Tigers visit Brockport Tuesday, Dec. 3rd at 6 p.m. for a non-conference contest.

- Wrestling places seventh at NYS Collegiate OpenONEONTA, N.Y. –RIT sophomore Josh Lanka (285 lb.) won the Freshman/Sophomore Division and first year Quincy Bonville (197 lb.) placed second in the Freshman/Sophomore Division to lead the Tigers to a seventh-place finish at the NYS Collegiate Championship, Saturday.
- Women’s Swimming & Diving falls at Ithaca, 223-76ITHACA, N.Y. – RIT sophomore swimmer Rose Ladue took first place in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke to lead the Tigers in a dual meet at Ithaca, Saturday.
