TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – RIT junior Derick Koen completed the 2024 cross country season with a 210th place finish out of 294 runners at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championship, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Making his second consecutive individual appearance in the national championship, Koen finished the race with a time of 25:51.3.
- Wisconsin-Whitewater's Christian Patzka won the race with a time of 24:01.6 after chasing down Augsburg's Mohammed Bati (24:03.7) in the final stretch.
- Wisconsin-La Crosse won the team title by scoring 77 points with Wartburg taking second with 173 points. Pomona-Pitzer placed third (182), Wisconsin-Whitewater was fourth (219) with NYU (220) rounding out the top five teams.
