Men's Soccer wins 3-0 at St. Lawrence
CANTON, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Selorm Dake scored a career-high two goals in the Tigers 2-0 win at St. Lawrence, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Dake scored in the 27th minute to give RIT a 1-0 lead.
- Senior midfielder Gabriel Zaninetti chipped a ball to junior midfielder Adam Eastman who sent a pass to Dake inside the St. Lawrence penalty box.
- Dake placed a shot inside the near post for his fifth goal of the season.
- Dake tallied his second goal of the game in the 78th minute to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
- Junior forward Gavin Culley picked up the loose ball and drove to the net. He fed a pass to Dake who dribbled around a defender and scored into the bottom corner.
- Culley scored off an assist from graduate student midfielder Chris Lee in the 84th minute to make it a 3-0 final.
GAME NOTES:
- St. Lawrence outshot RIT, 16-12.
- RIT had two corner kicks to seven for the Saints.
- Sophomore goalie Kristian Dobbek made saves to earn the win for the Tigers.
- It is RIT's first win over the Saints since 2019.
