Women's Tennis downs Geneseo, 6-1
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's tennis team defeated Geneseo 6-1 in non-conference action, Wednesday.
DOUBLES:
- First years Maya McDaniel and Melanie Saborio teamed up to beat Samantha Rava and Rachel Molloy 6-0 at first doubles
- Sophomore Maya Clinard and first year Emily Greb took down Natalie Pipes and Joann Catalano 6-2 at second doubles and graduate student Abby Murray and junior Abby Finchum defeated Natalie Pipes and Joann Catalano 6-2 at third doubles to complete the sweep.
SINGLES:
- McDaniel defeated Pipes (6-3, 6-0) at first singles and Greb took down Rava 6-0, 6-1 at second singles.
- Clinard beat Molloy in straight sets (6-2, 6-1) and Soborio did not drop a game in her straight set win over Kujawa at fourth singles.
- Murray defeated Catalano 6-3, 6-3 at fifth singles.
WHAT'S NEXT:
RIT is off until Feb. 9 when the Tigers host Binghamton
