Women's Track & Field finishes fifth at Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships
CORTLAND, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field team tied for fifth place out of 43 teams after the final day of competition at the 2024 Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships, Thursday.
Geneseo took the top spot with 81 points, ahead of Rochester (59) and Rowan (54) in the top-three. RIT finished with 39 points.
- Sophomore Sadie Rose won the 200 with a 24.57 finish
- Junior Emily DiMarco placed third in the discus with a program-record throw of 46.35m and fifth in the shot put (13.27m)
- Graduate student Catherine Fox finished third in the pole vault final with a height of 3.58m
- The 4x400 relay team consisting of junior Caroline Hill, senior Violet Ameele, sophomore Samantha Crisci and Rose, earned fourth-place and set a program-record time of 3:55.78
- The 4x100 relay team of junior Allison Regnante, Rose, sophomore Rania Sabri and Hill, placed seventh with a program record time of 48.72
- First-year Bailee Drummond finished seventh in the discus (41.90m)
- Regnante placed eighth in the long jump final with a distance of 5.39m
- Graduate student Amelia Gilbert placed 10th in the 1,500 (4:48.76)
