Men's Tennis downs Ithaca 4-3 in Liberty League Tournament
ITHACA, N.Y. –RIT first year Yu Tanimoto won the deciding to lead the No. 3 Tigers to a 4-3 win over No. 5 Ithaca in the first round of Liberty League Tournament, Friday. RIT will face No. 2 Hobart in Saturday's Semifinals.
DOUBLES:
- Junior Gabriel Escobar and sophomore Alec Turcotte defeated Ivan Kisic and Siddharth Vaada, 6-3 at second doubles.
- Tanimoto and first year Alexander Sinclair clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 win over Luis Crespo and Ean Lantzy at third doubles.
SINGLES:
- Senior Grahith Movva beat Vaada 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 at second singles.
- Sinclair took down Lantzy 6-2, 6-3 at sixth singles.
- Tanimoto clinched the match with a 3-set win over Gijs Fidler. Tanimoto won the first set 7-6 (7-5).
- Fidler came back to win the second set, 6-2. Tanimoto took the third set, 6-2 to clinch the win for the Tigers.

RIT returns to action on Saturday (May 3) against Hobart in the Liberty League Semifinal at 5:00 p.m.
