Men’s Track & Field ends first day of Liberty League Outdoor Championships in third

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field is in third place out of seven teams through the first day of the 2025 Liberty League Outdoor Championships at the RIT Track & Field Complex.

Day two's events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Men's Decathlon 110m Hurdles.

FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

Sophomore Jacen Mitchell and junior Eric Antonecchia punched their ticket to the 110m Hurdles final as Mitchell set a facility record with a time of 14.97 seconds. Antonecchia was fifth in the prelims, posting a 15.82 clocking.
In the 400m Hurdles, senior Max Stein and sophomore Sean Graves placed first and fifth in the prelims to advance to the finals. Stein's time of 53.52 is a facility record.
Sophomore Keenan Gosselin earned second in the javelin after throwing 60.09m on the final attempt. Senior Andrew Bernacki placed third with a distance of 58.99m
In the pole vault, senior Noah Koeng and sophomore Ryan Swenson finished fourth and fifth as both vaulters cleared 4.50m.
First year John Elliot advanced to the 800m finals after taking third in the prelims, crossing the finish line in 1:53.08.
