MADISON, N.J. – The RIT men's tennis team competed at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships, Friday.
First year Yu Tanimoto defeated Mark Adler (Yeshiva) 6-0, 6-0 in Friday's opening match before a 3-6, 2-6 loss to Tarun Kowar (Hamilton) in the Round of 32.
Sophomore Alec Turcotte was a 6-2, 6-3 winner over NYU's Nithin Sankar in his opening match, but lost 1-6, 0-6 Archit Yemula (RPI) in the Round of 32.
Turcotte and Tanimoto lost their first-round match, 8-5 to TCNJ's Brett Schuster and Alberto Thomas.
RIT returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 2) against Allegheny at 4:00 p.m.
