Baseball falls at St. John Fisher, 8-2

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT Baseball team dropped an 8-2 decision at St. John Fisher, Wednesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Fisher jumped out to an early lead with three unearned runs in the first inning and later plated two in the fifth for a 5-0 edge.
  • RIT scored twice with two outs in the sixth after drawing five consecutive walks, including RBI base-on-balls by first-year Josh Eagle and sophomore Charlie Slaymaker.
  • Fisher added three more runs in the eighth on a hit and three walks to put the game out of reach. 

WHAT'S NEXT
RIT is scheduled to close the regular season with three Liberty League games opposite Rochester this weekend, starting with a home game on Friday (Apr. 26) at 3:00 p.m. followed by a road doubhleheader on Saturday (Apr. 27) slated for a 12:00 p.m. first-pitch.
