Vicario named Women’s Hockey Operations Coordinator
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Celeste Brown, the Bruce B. Bates Women's Hockey Coach, announced the hiring of Joe Vicario as the Women's Hockey Operations Coordinator.
"We are excited to welcome Joe to RIT Hockey!" said Brown. "Joe has been a part of some successful RIT Hockey moments and he will bring passion, work ethic and a player-first mentality to his work."
Vacario, who suffers from Goldenhar Syndrome and is a testicular cancer survivor, was a student-manager for the men and women's hockey teams at RIT from 2011-2015, graduating with a bachelor's degree in information technology.
"I always wanted to go back to where I belonged at RIT Hockey," said Vicario. "Hockey has always been my passion and I am so excited to be back "home" with RIT hockey.
Vicario worked as a support specialist for the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT for the last seven years.
