Men's Soccer wins 2-1 at Geneva

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – RIT first year forward Moobin Kim scored two goals to lead the Tigers to a 2-1 win at Geneva, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Kim scored his first collegiate goal in the 61st minute to give RIT the lead. Sophomore forward Idriss Diallo fed Kim with a pass. Kim fired a shot into the far corner to give the Tigers the lead.
  • Kim gave RIT a 2-0 lead on his goal in the 90th minute. Graduate student midfielder Chris Lee sent a pass to Kim at the top of the Golden Tornadoes box. Kim fired a shot past Geneva keeper, Ian Lewis, for his second goal of the game.
  • Geneva's Travis Miller scored with 26 seconds to play in regulation to make it a 2-1 final.

 
GAME NOTES:

  • RIT outshot Geneva, 8-7 (2-3)
  • Each team took five corner kicks
  • Sophomore goalie Kristian Dobbek made two saves in to pick up the win.
