Three Tigers land CHA weekly honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT senior defensewoman Mia Tsilemos was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Defensewomen of the Week, while senior goalie Emma Stephen was the CHA Goalie of the Week and junior forward Kylie Aquaro earned Forward of the Week accolades, announced Tuesday.

Tsilemos recorded career-highs in assists (3) and points (3) in the Tiger's 7-0 win at Saint Michael's, Friday. The senior defensewoman had three shots, was +1 and blocked a shot in RIT's 3-0 win against the Purple Knights, Saturday.

Stephen made 16 saves in Saturday's 3-0 win at Saint Michael's. The senior netminder made eight of her 16 saves in the second period to earn her first career shutout. Stephen made five saves in 20 minutes of action in Friday's 7-0 win.

Aquaro tallied two goals and two assists to help lead RIT to a pair of non-conference wins at Saint Michael's. The junior forward tallied a goal and an assist in the Tiger's 7-0 win, Friday, and recorded a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-0 victory.

RIT returns to action on Friday (Jan. 5) at Brown at 6:00 p.m.
