Women’s Basketball ends season with 52-29 win at Bard
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY – Senior forward Kaleesha Joseph scored 14 points and notched 12 rebounds as the Tigers beat host Bard, 52-29.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- RIT struck first, as Joseph hit the turn-around jumper with 7:21 left in the first quarter to make it 2-0.
- Senior guard Holland Gillis hit a three-pointer with 6:45 left in the first to extend the lead to 5-0.
- Bard responded with a 6-0 run, culminating in a Shirley Dong layup with 3:51 left in the first quarter to pull ahead, 6-5.
- Junior guard Emma Waite put the Tigers ahead again, 7-6, with two free throws with 2:01 left in the first quarter.
- A three-pointer by sophomore guard Kaitlyn Bockelman with 26 seconds left extended the lead to 10-6 as the first quarter ended.
- RIT outscored Bard, 13-8, in the second quarter to head to halftime up 23-14.
- Junior guard Mya Richardson scored six points as the Tigers outscored Bard 17-4 in the third quarter to grow the lead to 40-18. The Tigers defense held the Raptors to only two points from the floor for the quarter.
- Joseph ended her senior year by scoring seven points in the fourth quarter as the Tigers took the 52-29 win.

- The Tigers shot 19-of-63 (30.2%) from the floor, including 3-of-21 (14.3%) from beyond the arc.
- RIT outrebounded Bard, 53-37.
