Women's Hockey loses 3-0 to No. 14 St. Lawrence
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's hockey team lost 3-0 to No. 14 St. Lawrence, Thursday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- RIT outshot St. Lawrence 17-4 in a scoreless first period.
- Junior forward Linda Rulle fired three shots on net, including a pair from close range midway through the frame with RIT on the power play.
- The Tigers went 0-for-4 on the power play in the first period, while the Saints went 0-for-2.
- Sophomore goalie Brenna McNamara stopped all 11 shots she faced in the second period, including one on Brooke Mulvihill at 16:15. Mulvihill fired a shot from the slot that McNamara turned aside with a stick save.
- Senior forward Jaidan Fahrny had a shot on net from the face off dot saved by St. Lawrence goalie, Kassidy Lawrence at 12:06 of the period.
- Meghan Crowley scored at 2:58 of the third period to give the Saints a 1-0 lead.
- Mulvihill gave the Saints a 2-0 lead on her goal 11 minutes into the third period.
- Alex Davis scored an empty-net goal at 17:44 of the third to make it a 3-0 final.
 
GAME NOTES:
- RIT outshot St. Lawrence, 35-30.
- The Tigers went 0-for-6 on the power play, while the Saints were 0-for-4.
- McNamara made 35 saves in net for the Tigers.

RIT returns to action on Friday (Oct. 17) against No. 14 St. Lawrence at 6:00 p.m. as part of RIT Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend.
