ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior Tommy Scarfone was named the Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week, Monday.
- Scarfone backstopped the Tigers to a pair of victories at Holy Cross, including a season-high 40 save performance in Saturday's 3-2 victory.
- He also stopped 28 shots, including five in overtime, during Friday's 3-2 OT victory.
- Saturday's showing was Scarfone's 24th career game with at least 30 saves and was one short of the career high 41 he made last season at Penn State.
- Scarfone was also named the conference goaltender of the week on Oct. 16 after shutting out Notre Dame, 3-0.
- Scarfone currently ranks 11th nationally with a .939 save percentage and 18th with a 1.98 goals against average.
RIT continues its Atlantic Hockey road swing with two games at Army this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 3-4) at 7:05 p.m. and 4:05 p.m., respectively.
