Antol named to inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior Jillian Antol has been named to the inaugural Allstate National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Good Works Team (Fall), announced Tuesday.
Comprised of 20 honorees across NCAA Division I, II and III, the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was established to recognize male and female student-athletes across all collegiate sports and divisions for their leadership in community service, academics and athletics. Building on the legacy of the Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team, which has honored college football players since 1992, this expanded initiative highlights the impact of student-athletes who go beyond the game to serve others.
A defender on the women's soccer team, Antol has volunteered for multiple organizations during her time as a student-athlete, including Rebuilding Hope in West Virginia--which helps families improve home accessibility through the installation of wheelchair-friendly doors and ramps.
Antol has also supported causes such as University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children's Hospital, the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross. She also serves on RIT's Honor's College Service and Leadership Committee and was voted President of RIT's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the coming academic year.
A two-time NCAA Tournament participant, as well as a two-time Liberty League All-Academic team selection, Antol was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Student-Athlete Honor Society last year.
Antol plans to serve as a health volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps after graduation next spring.
