ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior guard Chase Dickens scored 24 points in the Tigers 86-83 loss to Skidmore, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior guard Brock Bowen hit two straight three-pointers early in the first half to give RIT a 6-3 lead.
- Senior forward Kenny Wilburn scored off an assist from junior forward Jackson Otis to increase the Tiger's lead to 8-3.
- Skidmore's Jake Walsh tied the score at 11-11 on his three-pointer with 14:57 to play in the first half.
- Junior forward Josiah Turner cut the Skidmore lead to 14-13 on his bucket with 11:38 remaining.
- Jack LaGarde capped off an 11-2 Skidmore run with his layup with 9:06 to play to give Skidmore a 25-13 lead.
- Bowen scored with 5:08 to play to cut the Thoroughbred's lead to 27-23.
- Dickens capped off a 15-9 RIT run with his bucket with 41 seconds to play in the half to cut Skidmore's lead to 36-32.
- Wilburn cut the Skidmore lead to two points on a driving layup early in the second half.
- Skidmore's Nick Padilla scored to give Skidmore a 47-42 lead, while Aidan Roy scored with 9:06 to play to increase the Thoroughbred's lead to 58-48.
- Joey Skoric scored with 3:14 remaining to give the Thoroughbreds a 70-55 lead, while Walsh converted a pair of free throws with one-minute remaining to give the Thoroughbreds a 79-69 lead.
- Dickens drained a three-pointer with 58 seconds to play to make it a seven-point deficit and another three with 28 seconds remaining to cut the lead to 83-77.
- After a Skidmore turnover, Dickens hit a another three-pointer to cut the lead to 83-80 and tied the score with his three-pointer with five seconds to play.
- Skidmore's Hakeem Daphnis hit a three-pointer with three seconds remaining to make it an 86-83 final.
