NTID Weekly Coffee Chats

We will be hosting a general body meeting for new and existing members of GPHA to discuss the events we are hosting for the rest of the year and anticipated events for the spring semester.

With the invasion of digital media, taking the time to write a letter on a piece of paper has become obsolete, or at least a forgotten craft! Even more so if that letter has been typed with a manual typewriter. RZLBD Letters is an ongoing project exploring the capacity of the letter as a medium and the manual typewriter as an instrument beyond their common or utilitarian purpose. Celebrate the release of the book RZLBD Letters with RIT Press and the author, RZLBD (Reza Aliabadi), Founder & Principal, Atelier RZLBD, and Vignelli Center Inaugural Designer in Residence.

Join us for in-person gathering, chanting, and worship every Monday from 5-6 p.m. in Jones Memorial Chapel.

Enjoy a presentation by Rochester illustrator and sculptor Robert Rogalski, during which he will discuss his influences, process, and body of work. The talk is set for 5-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Booth Hall, room 3471.

Please join RIT’s interior design and industrial design programs for a lecture by Kathryn Walter. Inspired by her family’s rich history in the felt industry, Walter founded FELT, her own company and label, in 2000. Since then, she has dedicated her career to working almost exclusively with manufactured felts through commissions, exhibitions, and a product line.
