Men's Soccer ties Rochester, 1-1
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Selorm Dake scored with 31 seconds remaining in the Tigers 1-1 tie at Rochester, Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior midfielder Daniel Sucato dribbled his way past two Yellowjacket defenders in the 42nd minute, sending a shot on net forcing Rochester keeper Ben Ziegler to make the save.
- Junior midfielder Adam Eastman had a shot on net from 25 yards out in the 49th minute.
- First year defender Tony Shin had a pair of chances in the 59th and 60th minutes saved by Ziegler.
- Dake got behind his defender in the 78th minute but sent his shot wide of the net.
- Pasquale Carusone scored in the 87th minute to give the Yellowjackets the lead.
- In the final minute, sophomore forward Idriss Diallo had his shot from the top of the Rochester penalty box turned aside by Ziegler.
- On the ensuing corner kick, sophomore defender Adrian Sobczak sent in a service. Dake sent home a shot to tie the game at 1-1.
GAME NOTES:
- RIT outshot Rochester, 18-8, including nine on net.
- RIT had ten corner kicks to one for the Yellowjackets.
- Sophomore goalie Kristian Dobbek made two saves.
