ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three members of the RIT men's tennis team were named to the 2025 Liberty League All-Conference team announced Monday, May 19. First year Yu Tanimoto was named the Rookie of the Year.
Tanimoto was a first team selection and seniors Grahith Movva and Christian Berko were honorable mention selections.
Tanimoto recorded an 11-8 record in singles, including a 10-7 mark at first singles, and was tied for third in the Liberty League with a .562 winning percentage at first singles. A three-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Tanimoto was a combined 21-5 in doubles competition, including a 7-3 record at third doubles.
Movva and Berko finished with 10 wins this season. The Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week on April 7, Movva and Berko won four matches at first doubles, including three Liberty League matches.
RIT finished with a 9-9 record, including a 5-3 mark in Liberty League play. The Tigers beat Ithaca, 4-3 in the opening round of the Liberty League Tournament.
