Men’s Basketball falls to Hobart, 84-73
ROCHESTER N.Y. - The RIT men's basketball team fell at home to Hobart, 84-73, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a back-and-forth start to the game, Hobart began to pull away with a 15-4 run, going up 11 points with 10:50 left in the first half.
- RIT responded with a 13-5 run when graduate student forward Kenny Wilburn scored seven points in under four minutes to bring the Tigers within three with 6:42 on the clock.
- The Statesmen ended the half by going on a 16-5 run to end the half up 42-28.
- Hobart opened the second half with an 11-2 run with seven unanswered points before RIT responded with a 9-2 run that included back-to-back three-pointers from first-year guard Marcus Graves and graduate student guard Mark Osime.
- RIT continued to fight back in the second half, coming within 10 points of the Statesmen with 3:08 left to play, but were unable to get any closer down the stretch of the game.
GAME NOTES
- Graduate student guard Matt Caggiano had a team-high 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
- Wilburn finished with 11 points, four rebounds, and three blocks.
- First-year guard Marcus Graves scored a career-high 12 points after going 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

RIT takes to the road on Friday (Feb. 7) to face off against St. Lawrence at 7:30 PM.
