Men's Track & Field competes at Geneseo Early Season Invitational
GENESEO, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team began their outdoor season competing at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational, Friday and Saturday.
Highlights:
- Sophomore Derick Koen placed first in the 10,000, qualifying for the Atlantic Region Championship with a finishing time of 31:51.50
- Graduate student Aidan Hughes placed second in the hammer throw with a distance of 48.70m, followed by junior Josh Auler in fourth (45.86m)
- Sophomore Cameron Chambers finished second in the 110 hurdles (16.23)
- First-year Jack DeFeo earned second place in the 400 with a time of 49.51
- Junior Max Stein won the 400 hurdles with an Atlantic Region Championship qualifying time of 54.79, first-year Jacen Mitchell placed third (56.31)
- Sophomore Elliott Walter finished second in the discus throw (42.98m)
- First-year Erich Brown placed second in the high jump with a height of 1.83m
- Senior Andrew Bernacki won the javelin throw (54.02m) and first-year Keenan Gosselin finished third (51.21m)
