Women's Volleyball loses, 3-0, at William Smith
GENEVA, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Volleyball team lost, 3-0 (25-17, 25-8 25-19), at Liberty League rival William Smith, Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- William Smith opened a 12-5 first-set lead before RIT scored a 6-3 run to pull within four, 15-11. The Herons later rode a 6-0 run to a 23-13 lead that proved insurmountable.
- In the second, William Smith scored 12-straight points to build a decisive 18-4 lead, later scoring seven of the final eight points to close the set.
- Trailing, 10-9, early in the third, RIT used a 5-3 run to knot the score, 13-13. The Herons answered with a 7-2 surge for a 20-15 lead before the Tiger scored three-straight points to pull back withing two, 20-18. William Smith won five of the final six points to close the set and the match.
WHAT'S NEXT
RIT travels to Vassar on Saturday (Nov. 1) for matches opposite the host Brewers at 12:00 p.m. and King's (Pa.) at 2:00 p.m.
