Women's Cross Country finishes fourth at Liberty League Championships

GENEVA, N.Y. - RIT senior Amelia Gilbert finishes sixth out of 100 runners to lead the women's cross country team to fourth place at the Liberty League Championships, Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Gilbert finished the six-kilometer course in 22:30.8 and was followed by junior Sierra Danieu in 11th place (22:39.2)
  • Senior Katie Cobos finished 15th (22:52.7), while first-year Eva Reilly finished in 26th place (23:38.0)
  • First-year Rachael Ladd finished 28th (23:41.4), directly followed by senior Sydney Burgard in 29th (23:42.5) and first-year Therese Georgia finished in 32nd place (23:50.7)
  • Vassar won the team title with 49 points, followed by St. Lawrence (55), RPI (82), RIT (83) and Ithaca (93) in the top-five

WHAT'S NEXT
The Tigers will run in the NCAA Division III Niagara Region Championships hosted by Houghton at the Field of Dreams Cross Country Course on Saturday, Nov. 11.
