RIT Athletics Preview: May 20-26
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Tigers finished tied for fifth place out of 43 teams at the Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships this past week.
Sophomore Sadie Rose won the 200 with a 24.57 finish, junior Emily DiMarco placed third in the discus with a program-record throw of 46.35m and fifth in the shot put (13.27m) and graduate student Catherine Fox finished third in the pole vault final with a height of 3.58m. The 4x400 relay team consisting of junior Caroline Hill, senior Violet Ameele, sophomore Samantha Crisci and Rose, earned fourth-place and set a program-record time of 3:55.78. The 4x100 relay team of junior Allison Regnante, Rose, sophomore Rania Sabri and Hill, placed seventh with a program record time of 48.72. First-year Bailee Drummond finished seventh in the discus (41.90m), Regnante placed eighth in the long jump final with a distance of 5.39m and graduate student Amelia Gilbert placed 10th in the 1,500 (4:48.76).
RIT junior Emily DiMarco and sophomore Sadie Rose will compete in the NCAA Championships in Myrtle Beach, S.C. this week.

MEN'S LACROSSE
The Tigers defeated Christopher Newport, 19-15 in the NCAA Quarterfinals Saturday, before beating Bowdoin, 19-11 in the NCAA Semifinals on Sunday.
On Saturday, graduate student Jake Erickson totaled eight points on four goals and four assists, while graduate student Luke Pilcher totaled seven points on four goals and three assists. In Sunday's win, junior Clifford Gaston totaled a career-high nine points with seven goals and two assists.
RIT advances to the NCAA National Championship and will play Tufts on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, P.A.
