Four Tigers land Liberty League weekly accolades
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Four RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors, Monday. Junior Gellert Kish was the Men's Diver of the Week and first-year Luke Albanese was the Men's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week. On the women's side junior Anna Peshenko was the Women's Swimmer of the Week and first-year Maddi Williams was the Rookie of the Week.
Kish earned All-American honors in both the 3-meter and 1-meter dive at this past week's NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. He placed sixth in the 3-meter final with a score of 506.45, then placed seventh in the 1-meter final with a score of 469.65.
Albanese earned All-American honors in the 3-meter final at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. He placed 12th with a score of 480.20.
Williams earned All-American Honorable Mention in the 1-meter dive final at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships this past week. She placed ninth in the final with a score of 426.05.
Peshenko earned All-American Honorable Mention in the 200 breaststroke final at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships this past week. She placed 15th in the final, clocking a time of 2:19.75.
