Gomez and Onodera named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Graduate student midfielder Jessie Gomez and junior forward Elena Onodera have been named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region second team.
Gomez earned 12 points (3 goals, 6 assists) for the Tigers in 2024. The midfielder started in all 17 appearances this season, logging 1,188 minutes. The six assists are a career best.
Onodera led RIT with 21 points (7 goals, 7 assists) this past season while ranking fourth in points in the Liberty League. The seven goals and seven assists are the most in a season for the senior, besting her 2023 output of 15 points (6 goals, 3 assists).
The duo helped RIT earn a spot in the Liberty League Tournament for the seventh consecutive season after finishing the 2024 campaign with an 8-6-4 overall record and 4-3-2 in conference play.
