RIT Athletics Preview: April 15-21
BASEBALL
The Tigers defeated Alfred State, 5-4 on Thursday.
Sophomore designated hitter Robert Reade went 2-for-4 from the plate and hit a two-run homer.
RIT hosts Cortland on Tuesday, before heading to St. John Fisher on Wednesday and then plays at St. Lawrence Friday and Saturday for a three-game series.

SOFTBALL
The Tigers went 3-3 this week splitting series' with Brockport (lost 2-0, won 10-9) on Tuesday, St. Lawrence (won 13-5 in 5 inn., lost 11-1 in 5 inn.) on Friday and Clarkson (lost 4-2, won 9-7) on Saturday.
Junior Lillian Rienstra earned the walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh in the win against Brockport. Junior Erin Ozminkowski went 2-for-2, scored three runs and hit a two-run homer in the victory against St. Lawrence. Senior Jessica Majot had a team-high 3 RBI in the win against Clarkson.
RIT plays a series of doubleheaders at Geneseo, RPI and Skidmore this week.

The Tigers went 0-2 this week, losing to RPI, 9-0 and falling to Vassar, 7-2.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE
The Tigers lost to Rochester 20-19 in overtime Wednesday and beat Clarkson 11-8 on Saturday.
Sophomore Serafine Kiselgof scored five goals in the win against Clarkson.
RIT travels to No. 2 William Smith on Wednesday.

MEN'S LACROSSE
The Tigers defeated Ithaca 16-10 on Wednesday, before beating Clarkson 21-9 on Saturday.
Junior Clifford Gaston scored four goals against Ithaca, while graduate student Jake Erickson tallied eight points on five assists and three goals against Clarkson.
RIT hosts Geneseo Wednesday, before traveling to No. 4 St. Lawrence on Saturday.

The Tigers raced at WPI this past weekend.
The 1 Varsity-8 boat finished fourth, the 2 Varsity-8 boat placed third, while the 3 Varsity-8 boat also placed third in their respective races.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Tigers competed at Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic and the Brockport Invitational this weekend.
At Bucknell, sophomore Elliott Walter placed 15th in the discus throw (46.05m), graduate student Aidan Hughes finished 15th in the hammer throw (50.82m), junior Max Stein placed 17th in the 400 hurdles (56.19) and first-year Jacen Mitchell finished 19th in the 400 hurdles (56.78).
At Brockport, senior Paul Siflita won the 10,000 (32:23.28), the 4x100 relay team of first-years Tucker Haluszczak and Nicholas Lusardi, sophomore Eric Anotnecchia and junior Jonathan Jacobs finished second (43.77), senior Andrew Bernacki placed second in the javelin throw (54.49m) while junior Jason Mohr finished third (54.11m). Jacobs also placed third in the 100 (11.16), first-year Sean Graves took third-place in the 400 hurdles (59.17) and first-year Ryan Swenson placed third in the pole vault (4.16m).
The Tigers host the RIT Invitational this Saturday.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Tigers competed at Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic and the Brockport Invitational this weekend.
At Bucknell, sophomore Saide Rose lowered her own program record placing fourth in the 400 with a time of 55.44, graduate student Amelia Gilbert finished fourth in the 3,000 (10:25.45) and junior Sierra Danieu placed sixth (10:29.95). Sophomore Abby Nautel placed sixth in the 800 (2:24.52), junior Emily DiMarco finished 17th in the discus throw (38.88m), sophomore Marinna Heichberger placed 21st in the shot put (11.98m), Danieu finished 22nd in the 1,500 (4:51.29).
At Brockport, graduate student Catherine Fox placed second in the pole vault (3.61m), junior Justine Draper finished third in the 400 hurdles (1:09.63), first-year Mia Gerber earned fourth in the javelin throw (30.77m) and first-year Rachael Ladd finished fifth in the 3,00 steeplechase (12:44.11).
The Tigers host the RIT Invitational this Saturday.

The Tigers went 0-3 this week falling to Ithaca 5-4 Wednesday, RPI 7-2 on Saturday and Vassar 8-1 on Sunday.
