UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – RIT first year forward Addie Alvarez tallied a goal in the Tigers 1-1 tie at Penn State, Saturday. The Tigers qualify for the College Hockey America Tournament for the first time since the 2021-22 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore goalie Sophia Bellina made 15 saves in a scoreless first period.
- Alvarez scored at 15:43 of the second period, tallying her eighth goal of the season to give RIT the lead.
- Penn State's Alyssa Machado tied the game at 1-1 on her goal at 17:41 of the second.
- Bellina made 12 stops in the third period and made six saves in overtime.

- RIT's 13 wins is the most wins by the Tigers in a season since 2019-20 (12)
