Student Athlete Advisory Committee Announces 2023-24 Executive Board

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT's Student Advisory Committee announced the Executive Board for the 2023-24 season.

"We have assembled a strong Executive Board with representation from some teams that have not been on the board for some time," said Associate Director of Athletics and SAAC Staff Advisor, Jeff Siegel. "We are excited to see the growth of our Executive Board under the Hailey's leadership as she enters her second year as president."

Senior Hailey Blixt (Volleyball) returns as the president for the 2023-24 season. Junior Cat Vento (Volleyball) will be the Events Coordinator, while sophomore Connor Flanegan (Men's Lacrosse) assumes the Communications Officer role.

Junior Douglas Scott (Men's Hockey) is the new Tiger Den Coordinator and junior Matthew Resnick (Track & Field) is the new Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator. Matt McCarthy (Baseball) returns as the Finance Director and junior Bailey Kehl (Women's Hockey and Softball) takes up the role as the Community Service Director.

The RIT SAAC functions as a representative body of the student-athletes on campus.  As a committee, they provide leadership opportunities and community service events for athletes and try to foster camaraderie across athletic teams through different programs.

RIT Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is a leading entity in the Liberty League, Atlantic Hockey Association, and College Hockey America, hosting conference wide events and meetings as well as sending members to be a part of the Liberty League SAAC Executive Committee.

"We cannot wait for the fall semester to get going," said Siegel. "We are looking forward to getting the group together with their representative and get to work."
