Women's Basketball falls to No. 14 Catholic, 84-43
ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The RIT women's basketball team fell to No.14-ranked Catholic, 84-43, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing the Tigers 10-9 in the first quarter, Catholic used a 16-5 run over the final four minutes of the quarter to pull away from RIT.
- The Cardinals were in control the rest of the way, leading as much as 41 points in the fourth quarter when Maggie Hughes made a three-point shot with 6:20 remaining.
GAME NOTES
- First-year guard Caroline Henderson led RIT with 12 points.
- Senior Kaitlyn Bockelman and sophomore Maddy Ramsgard both finished with seven points.
- First-year forward Ben Kayser-Cochran led RIT with seven rebounds while adding five points.
WHAT'S NEXT
RIT returns home this coming Thursday (Nov. 21), serving as hosts for the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. The Tigers face Nazareth at 8 p.m. after Rochester squares off against St. John Fisher at 6 p.m.
