RIT Athletics Preview: Oct. 30 - Nov. 5

WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Tigers earned two 0-0 ties against Ithaca and Vassar last week. The ties allowed RIT to finish in second place in the Liberty League standings, providing them with a bye in the first round of the Liberty League Conference Tournament. The Tigers will host the winner of St. Lawrence and Ithaca in the conference semifinals on Friday. If the Tigers win, they will move on the to championship game that will be played Sunday.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
The Tigers lost to William Smith, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-21) on Wednesday, lost to Rochester, 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-19) on Friday, defeated Oneonta, 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-19) on Friday, then lost to Skidmore, 3-1 (25-15, 25-18, 11-25, 25,20) on Saturday.

In Friday's win against Oneonta, opposite Macie Jolliffe led the Tigers with five kills and 10 digs, while senior setter Sydney Neff tallied 20 assists and six digs.

RIT closes out the regular season hosting Fredonia on Friday, then travels to Geneseo for a pair of games on Saturday.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers split a two-game series with Lindenwood, losing 6-3 on Friday and winning 6-2 on Saturday.

In Saturday's win, junior Kylie Aquaro, senior Nicole Ness, junior Addie Carr, senior Lindsay Maloney, sophomore Jaidan Fahrny all scored for the Tigers. Fahrny tallied a career-high two goals for RIT. 

The Tigers host Mercyhurst for a two-game series this weekend.

MEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers swept Holy Cross in a two-game series this past weekend, winning 3-2 in overtime on Friday and also winning 3-2 on Saturday.

On Friday, junior Carter Wilkie and sophomore Simon Isabelle scored in regulation, while junior Tanner Andrew scored the overtime game-winning goal.

On Saturday, senior Cody Laskosky, junior Grady Hobbs and first-year Christian Catalano scored for the Tigers. Junior goalkeeper Tommy Scarfone totaled a season-high 40 saves. 

The Tigers travel to Army this weekend for a two-game series.

WRESTLING
The Tigers open up their season by competing in the Ned McGinely Invitational in Pennsylvania.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING
The Tigers earned a pair of wins against St. Lawrence and Monroe Community College on Friday.

RIT defeated St. Lawrence, 215-79, and beat MCC with a score of 245-12. The Tigers finished first in all but two events with sophomores Sydney DeLapp and Lorelei Robinson winning two events each.

RIT hosts Gannon on Saturday.

MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING
The Tigers defeated St. Lawrence and Monroe Community College on Friday.

The Tigers defeated St. Lawrence, 250-17, and beat MCC with a score of 241-49. RIT finished first in all but one event. Seniors Mike AtanasoffDrew Scheib and junior Kai Louie won two events each. 

RIT hosts Gannon on Saturday.

The Tigers close out the fall season by racing against the University of Rochester on Sunday.
