Men’s Track & Field competes in Home Meet #2

 
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT Men's Track & Field team took part in their second scheduled home meet of the season on Saturday at the track facility on RIT's campus.

• Graduate student Matthew Funicelli set an outdoor program record in the shot put with a mark of 15.59m. He also won the discus throw and hammer throw.
• Sophomore Jason Mohr won the javelin throw with a distance of 55.03m.
• Senior Tyler Hulse tied his personal outdoor best in the high jump with a 1.99m height.
• Junior Justin Jantzi placed second in the 400 with a personal-best time of 49.33.
• Sophomore Max Stein placed second in the 400 hurdles with a personal-best time of 56.03.
• Senior Hassan Eissa finished second in the 5000 with a time of 15:08.66.
• RIT placed second in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
• First year Michael Sardo placed third in the 200 with a time of 22.65.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, April 14, at the Bison Outdoor Classic in Pennsylvania.
