Men's Track & Field competes at Brockport Invitational
BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team competed at the Brockport Invitational, Sunday.
Highlights:
- Senior Paul Suflita won the 10,000 with a finishing time of 32:23.28
- The 4x100 relay team of first-years Tucker Haluszczak and Nicholas Lusardi, sophomore Eric Antonecchia and junior Jonathan Jacobs, placed second with a time of 43.77
- Senior Andrew Bernacki finished second in the javelin throw with a distance of 54.49m, directly followed by junior Jason Mohr in third (54.11)
- Jacobs finished third in the 100 (11.16) and fifth in the 200 (22.90)
- First-year Sean Graves took third-place in the 400 hurdles with a time of 59.17
- First-year Ryan Swenson placed third in the pole vault (4.16m), with senior teammate Aidan Sheahan in sixth (4.15m) and junior Alex Bauer in eighth (4.01m)
- Antonecchia placed fourth in the 110 hurdles, clocking a time of 16.30, followed by sophomore Cameron Chambers in fifth (16.35)
- Junior Bradley Baybutt finished fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.81m
- Senior Yohermry Kpodo placed sixth in the shot put with a distance of 13.02m
- Sophomore Ben Pochobradsky finished sixth in the 400 (51.42)
The Tigers return to action next Saturday (Apr. 20) to host the RIT Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
