Three Tigers land Liberty League weekly honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three RIT student-athletes were named Liberty League Performers of the Week, announced Monday (March 4). First-year Kira Kronenberg was the Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week, while sophomore runner Sadie Rose was the Track Performer of the Week. First-year Luke Albanese was named the Diver of the Week.
 
Kronenberg recorded a 2-1 record in singles competition last week. The first year was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Nazareth's Catherine Zak at No. 1 singles, and teamed up with first-year Maya Clinard to record an 8-3 win over Zak and Kenna Ellis at first doubles in Wednesday's 7-2 victory. Sunday, she downed Aira Abalos from TCNJ at No. 1 singles
 
Rose won the 200 at the NCAA Atlantic Region Indoor Championships this past weekend with a time of 25.09. Rose is the only athlete from RIT to qualify for this weekend's NCAA Division III Championships.
 
Albanese placed third in the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions at the NCAA Division III Diving Regional, last weekend. He posted a score of 491 points in the 1-meter and 491.80 in the 3-meter competition, qualifying in the 3-meter board for the upcoming NCAA Division III Championships.
