Three Tigers land Liberty League weekly honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Three RIT student-athletes were named Liberty League Performers of the Week, announced Monday (Feb. 26). Junior Gellert Kish was the Diver of the Week, while junior Christian Berko and first-year Luke Weber were the Doubles Team of the Week.

Kish was named Diver of the Meet at the Liberty League Championships, last weekend. He defended his 3-meter board title, winning with a score of 580.15 and finished second in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 522.50 . Kish finished with a combined score of 1,102.65 to lead all divers.

Berko and Weber teamed up to win the "A" Final at the Ranger Doubles Invitational hosted by Drew. Saturday, Berko and Weber defeated Thomas and Polvere, 6-2 in their opening match. They took down Ciarletta and Pacheco, 6-1, downed Baretta and Moon, 6-1 before blanking Cardenas and Feldman, 6-0. Sunday, Berko and Weber defeated Arcari and Fero, before an 8-7 win over junior Grahith Movva and first-year Alec Turcotte. They defeated Ganeshi and Gitti, 8-5 in the "A" Final.
