ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore midfielder Gabriel Zaninetti scored a career-high two goals to lead the Tigers to a 2-1 win over Union, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Union's Marco Perugini scored in the 10th minute on a shot from the top of the box to give the Garnet Chargers the lead.
- Zaninetti tied the game 22 seconds later on his first goal of the season on an assist from junior midfielder Rom Wasserman.
- Zaninetti scored again in the 27th minute firing a shot from 20-yards out on assists from sophomore forward Jake Donahue and senior forward Joshua Price.
- Junior midfielder Garrett Drake blasted a shot from the top of the box, forcing a diving save by Union keeper, Paul Agne in the 70th minute.
- RIT junior goalie Jason Trapp made a diving save off a shot from Wyatt Goldfisher in the 81st minute that preserved the lead.
