RIT Athletics Preview: Jan. 8-13
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Tigers were 2-1 this past week, losing to Rochester 87-43, Wednesday, then beating William Smith, 77-75 Friday before beating RPI, 69-65 Saturday.
On Friday, senior guard Emma Waite led the Tigers with a season-high 19 points and a career-high 12 assists. In Saturday's win, junior guard Kaitlyn Bockelman led the team with a career-high 24 points, 14 of which were scored in the fourth quarter.
The Tigers travel to Ithaca on Tuesday, before hosting Skidmore and Vassar this weekend.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Tigers defeated Hobart, 77-76 on Friday, then beat RPI, 59-57 in overtime on Saturday.
Junior forward Jackson Otis led the Tigers with a career-high 20 points in Friday's victory, while senior guard Brock Bowen led the team with 20 points on Saturday.

MEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers defeated Clarkson, 4-0 on Friday and tied St. Lawrence 1-1, winning a shootout 1-0, on Saturday.
Fifth-year defenseman Gianfranco Cassaro, junior forward Grady Hobbs, first-year forward Matthew Wilder were the goal scorers for the Tigers in Friday's victory. Junior goaltender Tommy Scarfone totaled 33 saves and earned his seventh-career shutout, tying him for second in D1-era program history.
Graduate student forward Elijah Gonsalves scored the Tigers' goal on Saturday, while first-year forward Tyler Fukakusa scored the winning shootout goal. Scarfone tallied a career-high 46 saves.
RIT travels to Niagara Thursday and hosts Canisius on Saturday.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers were 0-2 at Brown this past weekend, losing 4-1 Friday and falling 3-0 Saturday.
First-year defensewoman Emma Pickering scored the Tigers' goal on Friday. Sophomore goaltender Sophia Bellina had 25 saves on Saturday.
RIT hosts No. 15 Penn State for a two-game series this weekend.

WRESTLING
The Tigers participated in the NWCA National Duals this past weekend and earned 17th place. RIT lost to Millikin 24-18 Friday morning, before defeating Concordia College (Minn.) 19-18 Friday afternoon. On Saturday, the Tigers defeated Olivet, 38-13 and Alfred State, 31-13.
Junior Mike Glynn III earned four wins, while first-year Marek Bush, junior Liam Strouse, and senior Ben Dougherty earned three wins each.
RIT will compete in the Will Abele Invitational on Saturday.
